Stay Fit During the Holidays

Most Americans end up putting on weight over the Holidays. The culprit is the holiday treats they eat and the stress of the season. Most of us don’t exercise enough either. But that’s where a little effort can really pay off. Exercise does so much for us metabolically - much more than the few hundred calories we actually burn off while we work out. So if we work out, our bodies tend to function better - they put out a mix of hormones that help us fight stress and permit us to sleep better and even help keep us young. We need to exercise and one great workout program is the P90X workout from Beachbody.

The P90X workout is a resistance training program done bootcamp style with a fair amount of pull ups and push ups. Some folks don’t like to do all those push ups and literally cannot pull themselves up. While you can work up to the effort required, some people prefer the Insanity workout which is high intensity training. This HIIT workout program is really tough but will get you really fit. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter which you pick - just go do some exercise! You’ll be glad you did.
