I Ditched Dialup in Favor of Internet Providers in my Area

If you are like me, you have finally gotten fed up with your dialup service and the interminably slow download times when you try to connect to the web. When I made the switch, I began by assessing internet providers in my area. With the right resources and roadmap, it was easy. I was afraid I would get into a contractual obligation which would end up being a costly mistake if I chose a package that wouldn’t meet my needs over the long haul. But I found a website that helped me to ask and answer all of the right questions. Making sense of all of the terminology, assessing what speed I needed, and what types of incentives made sense for my situation was easy.

After looking at several providers, I decided to go with AT&T DSL. While there are a number of great providers out there, usually only a handful service a particular neighborhood. AT&T happened to be one of those providers. I learned that DSL technology still uses my existing phone line for delivering the service, but unlike dialup, it didn’t interfere with me being able to use the phone. They also had several incentives and services built in to their package that made sense to me. There were no hidden fees, and the price was right. What more could I ask for. Accessing the internet is so much more satisfying now that I no longer have to deal with dialup.
