Every time we throw a party my wife gets all caught up in the theme and décor elements and spends a small fortune on all the stuff that goes along with parties. I thought it would be different if we threw outdoor parties but it was the same; until this past spring. I saw an article in a magazine at the doctor’s office about outdoor entertainment and thumbed through it. I was amazed at the expense and extravagance of these people that were entertaining outside!

When I told my wife about what I had read an apologized to her for complaining about all the things she did, she dropped a bomb shell and told me she had decided to cut back on the decorations and make the backyard a great place to have a party anytime. Since we had furniture made out of wrought iron, she decided to do everything with iron. So we sat down and order several wrought iron planters and plant stands as well as some tubs with wrought iron stands to serve drinks out of for the rest of the summer. She still buys the special plates and cups but not all the other stuff she had in the past.
