New Pitch of Voice Software for Singing

The pitch of voice for singers is perhaps the single most important and memorable aspect of a performance, especially if their pitch is bad. When a singer performs with good pitch, the listeners tend to focus on qualities of tone, expression and overall deliverance of the performer. Only when pitch of voice is extraordinarily accurate do listeners tend to notice pitch in a positive perspective. Yet, when a singer is off pitch, the audience tends to ignore other qualities of the performance that might be very good as pitch issues tend to overwhelm auditory senses.
New software for singing can help remedy pitch of voice problems by training singers to sing on pitch. Software for singing, such as PitchPerfector™, provides a graphical visual means for the singer to gain immediate feedback about their pitch while singing. While the software is not recommended for use during performance, it can be easily incorporated into a singer’s daily singing practice. The singer first identifies problem areas for a single note and quickly corrects those problems. Next the singer progresses to short scales and arpeggios. With this incremental approach, singers resolve a vast majority of their singing issues. The next step is to work with phrases of songs in their repertoire.
