New Pitch of Voice Software for Singing

Filed Under (Education) by admin on 31-10-2011

The pitch of voice for singers is perhaps the single most important and memorable aspect of a performance, especially if their pitch is bad. When a singer performs with good pitch, the listeners tend to focus on qualities of tone, expression and overall deliverance of the performer. Only when pitch of voice is extraordinarily accurate do listeners tend to notice pitch in a positive perspective. Yet, when a singer is off pitch, the audience tends to ignore other qualities of the performance that might be very good as pitch issues tend to overwhelm auditory senses.

New software for singing can help remedy pitch of voice problems by training singers to sing on pitch. Software for singing, such as PitchPerfector™, provides a graphical visual means for the singer to gain immediate feedback about their pitch while singing. While the software is not recommended for use during performance, it can be easily incorporated into a singer’s daily singing practice. The singer first identifies problem areas for a single note and quickly corrects those problems. Next the singer progresses to short scales and arpeggios. With this incremental approach, singers resolve a vast majority of their singing issues. The next step is to work with phrases of songs in their repertoire.

Filed Under (Education) by admin on 24-05-2011

Most of the new fangled software wonders turn out to be nothing more than gimmicks that do little to improve anything. In the realm of music, it seems virtually every software program has expanded its initial functionality to attempt to provide all features needed for anything musical. One clear exception is new voice pitch singing software that has the goal of training vocalists to sing on pitch. Learning to sing on pitch might at first seem a basic requirement and practice of all serious singers. While many aspects of singing can be taught by direct methodology or pedagogy, singing on pitch is a particularly specialized and challenging area that does not usually conform to a single method of correction.

Accurate pitch singing is desired by all singers and listeners, yet can be elusive even after years of practice. Fortunately, new voice pitch singing software provides real-time visual feedback entrainment that improves pitch rapidly. The best news is that the effects can last for days or weeks after regular practice. Once pitch has improved, using the software for ten minutes, three times a week, is sufficient maintain improved pitch.
