Make Your Next Baked Bean Dish A Real Old Fashioned Treat

Filed Under (Food & Wine) by admin on 20-01-2009

I never used to cook using dried beans until I compared the price of dry versus canned. Now, yes, I do keep some cans of various beans in the house for convenience, but when I cook my crock pot bean dish, I start with dry beans. It’s not really as fussy as you might think. Yes, you have to plan ahead to soak the beans overnight, and then cook them before putting them in the crock pot, but the results are worth it, and the money you save isn’t bad either! Harbor At Last Light Tapestry

Filed Under (Gifts) by admin on 19-01-2009

Master painter Ramon Pujol was born in Olot, Spain in 1947. From an early age he was interested in art and has stayed on the path of an artist his whole life. As a student at the Escola de Belles Artes de Olot he had the opportunity to study under such great masters of Spanish painting such as Carbonell and Cussinye. The main inspiration in his works come from the colors and effects of light found in nature. His painting, Harbor At Last Light, shows a group of boats in the harbor, the mirror-like surface of the water broken by the occasional ripple. The faces of the buildings surrounding the harbor catch the dying light while shadows deepen on the hillsides above. This sublime work has been brought vividly to life in the Harbor at Last Light Tapestry. Hang it anywhere to enjoy the sense of depth, light and atmosphere of a Pujol masterpiece. Brilliant Golf Travel Bags and Cases for the Golf-Lover You Love

Filed Under (Gifts) by admin on 12-01-2009

My fiancé is a golf fanatic. He is insanely talented with the sport and comes home, weekly, with new clubs and gear to improve his game. While my fiancé is a talented golfer and lover of the sport, he is not a tidy one. When we first moved in together last year, I noticed that he, as many bachelors do, left piles of clutter everywhere. After a few weeks of tolerating dirty golf shoes on my new carpet, and clubs strewn all about the living room, I realized that we needed some way to contain his clubs and enthusiasm: at least in the house. Desperate for a solution, I turned to the internet. I found an incredible piece of equipment in the Golf Travel Bags and Cases section of TheGolfCollection.com.

The metal Golf Organizer shelf was the perfect solution to my problem. I purchased it and placed it just inside the door of our mud room. Now when he comes inside, he can place his clubs in each of the standing side holders and his muddy shoes on the bottom of five shelves to hold miscellaneous equipment. I am absolutely thrilled that I found a quality storage unit that he finds so easy to use, that he never leaves his golf practice equipment about anymore.
