Filed Under (Health & Fitness) by admin on 24-03-2010

Are you looking for a weight loss plan that’s easy to execute, effective, and affordable? Check out the medifast diet review for one of the top diet plans in the country. Medifast is concerned with jumpstarting your metabolism by using the body’s very own fat-burning furnace. When we overeat in calories, it’s inevitable that we are eating too many refined carbohydrates. Carbohydrates cause a spike in blood sugar, which the body reacts to with a surge of insulin to bring the dangerous sugar levels down. Guess what insulin does? Stores carbohydrates as body fat. That’s right . . . those extra fat cells we carry around are really stored glucose for later usage. The beauty of the Medifast diet, which was developed by physicians, is that through carbohydrate restriction our bodies can finally tap into all that stored energy. Read the rest of this entry »

I Ditched Dialup in Favor of Internet Providers in my Area

Filed Under (Computer & Technology) by admin on 02-03-2010

If you are like me, you have finally gotten fed up with your dialup service and the interminably slow download times when you try to connect to the web. When I made the switch, I began by assessing internet providers in my area. With the right resources and roadmap, it was easy. I was afraid I would get into a contractual obligation which would end up being a costly mistake if I chose a package that wouldn’t meet my needs over the long haul. But I found a website that helped me to ask and answer all of the right questions. Making sense of all of the terminology, assessing what speed I needed, and what types of incentives made sense for my situation was easy. Read the rest of this entry »

Where to Look for Large Sheds

Filed Under (Gifts) by admin on 02-02-2010

Living in the city for most of my life did not prepare me for country living. I had no idea what kind of equipment I would end up buying to get the very large yard and garden taken care of. In addition to this issue, I also had no place to put it once I bought it so I simply put a tarp over it and hoped for the best. Then last year one of my neighbors came over and gave me a great suggestion; buy a large shed in kit form and just install it myself and it ended up being a great idea! Read the rest of this entry »

Stay Fit During the Holidays

Filed Under (Health & Fitness) by admin on 30-11-2009

Most Americans end up putting on weight over the Holidays. The culprit is the holiday treats they eat and the stress of the season. Most of us don’t exercise enough either. But that’s where a little effort can really pay off. Exercise does so much for us metabolically – much more than the few hundred calories we actually burn off while we work out. So if we work out, our bodies tend to function better – they put out a mix of hormones that help us fight stress and permit us to sleep better and even help keep us young. We need to exercise and one great workout program is the P90X workout from Beachbody.

The P90X workout is a resistance training program done bootcamp style with a fair amount of pull ups and push ups. Some folks don’t like to do all those push ups and literally cannot pull themselves up. While you can work up to the effort required, some people prefer the Insanity workout which is high intensity training. This HIIT workout program is really tough but will get you really fit. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter which you pick – just go do some exercise! You’ll be glad you did.

Of course, the wheel and ball are associated with the game, however in some casinos cards are used to call the numbers. The last essential supply is a Roulette marker. Read the rest of this entry »

Since I’m a chocolate fiend, one of my favorite recipes is a rich and delicious double chocolate layer cake with fudge swirl icing. For smaller cakes I use one of my round cake pans, but when I need to make a big family birthday cake I use two of my Kaiser Rectangular Cake Pans for an extra big cake.
